The honest version of that answer depends on roof, consumption, tariff and storage — which is a real model, not a slider that multiplies two numbers.

Solution
A calculator that takes the inputs which genuinely change the answer — consumption, roof orientation and area, tariff, whether storage is included — and returns a range with the assumptions attached.
It produces an estimate, clearly labelled as one, and hands over to a real survey rather than pretending precision it cannot have. That framing is what makes the number trustworthy.
The result is carried into the enquiry, so the first conversation starts from the visitor's own numbers instead of from scratch.

UX
The calculator opens with sensible defaults so a visitor sees a plausible answer before touching anything — the first interaction is a correction, not a blank form.
Assumptions are visible next to the result rather than buried in a footnote, because a number you cannot interrogate is a number you do not believe.

UI
Warm and daylight-led, with the calculator given the visual weight of the primary product it effectively is.
Results are typeset as figures with units and ranges, never as a single triumphant number.

Development
The calculation model is a pure, versioned module with unit tests — the assumptions are data, so updating a tariff is a data change and the tests catch anything that shifts unexpectedly.
Funnel events are emitted at each step, so it is possible to see where people stop.
